Wearing the school uniform is compulsory for all students.
We have partnered with Silver Fox (based in Kerikeri) and Argyle to supply our school uniform. To keep costs as low as possible, the school does not add any extra charges or receive any commission from uniform sales.
During the summer months (Terms 1 and 4), students are required to wear a hat. This may be a hat from home or one purchased from the school office.
In winter (Terms 2 and 3), students may wear plain navy tights under shorts or plain navy sweatpants. These items will need to be purchased separately.
All students are expected to be in full school uniform within two weeks of enrolment.
The Kawakawa Primary School uniform can only be purchased from the school office, as all items carry the official school monogram. Uniform items are not available elsewhere.
Families who may require help with uniform costs can contact Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ), which may be able to provide financial assistance.
If a student is unable to wear the correct uniform on a particular day, a note from a parent or caregiver is required explaining the reason.
Students who do not bring a note will be placed on detention.
Parents may wish to purchase an extra shirt for days when the uniform becomes soiled.
Please ensure all uniform items are clearly named.
If your child’s uniform does not have their name attached, it will be extremely difficult to identify lost items.
