Children can be enrolled as new entrants from the age of five. A birth certificate is required when enrolling a new student.
We ask that new entrant students attend six classroom visits before they turn five. This helps ensure they are settled and comfortable in the classroom environment before officially starting school. Please contact the school office to arrange these visits.
In accordance with the Health (Immunisation) Regulations 1995, all primary schools must keep an Immunisation Register for children born from 1 January 1995 onwards. If your child has been immunised, please provide a certificate of immunisation at the time of enrolment.
At enrolment, we also require a current contact phone number and at least two additional emergency contact numbers. Please keep the school updated with any changes to these details.
When new pupils start at Kawakawa Primary School, we hold a pōwhiri to welcome them and their whānau into our school community.
